Liverpool are one of several sides holding an interest in Atalanta star Giorgio Scalvini, according to CalcioMercato.
The Reds are thought to be joined by the likes of Manchester City, Inter Milan and Bayern Munich in monitoring the 18-year-old, although any approaches will likely have to come next summer. Atalanta are keen to keep hold of their young star for the remainder of the season and will only listen to offers that surpass the €30million mark.
Scalvini, a ball-playing centre-back who can also play in defensive midfield, joined Atalanta's youth set up in 2015 and worked his way into the first-team in 2021 at just 17-years-old. He quickly became a regular for Gian Piero Gasperini and has featured 11 times so far this season as his side fight for a Champions League place.

The teenager was called up to Italy's national squad in January 2022 as part of a wider move from manager Roberto Mancini to introduce youth early, with his side not having qualified for the World Cup. He won his first cap off the bench in June and has since featured three times for his country.
Liverpool will face stiff competition across the continent in luring Scalvini to Anfield next summer, with Inter Milan thought to be in pole position.
The reports suggests that their officials between Atalanta and Inter could be inclined to set up a loan deal with an option to buy, and that the Nerazzuri could leverage any future deal for the defender by sending Giovanni Fabbian, currently on loan at Reggina in Serie B, the other way.
