Liverpool and Man City 'interested' in forward with £67m release clause

Liverpool are reportedly expressing an interest in signing Villarreal starlet Yeremy Pino.

Reports from Spain are linking the Reds with a move for one of the La Liga outfits most talented youngsters. According to Fichajes , Liverpool are among a cluster of clubs who could make a move for the 19-year-old.

It has been claimed that Liverpool are one of the teams who are “most interested” in the idea of signing Pino. The other club mentioned is Manchester City, while Arsenal and Chelsea have also been linked.

Pino, who is a versatile forward who frequently plays on the right wing, has been tipped for a bright future. His current deal with Villarreal runs until the summer of 2027, after he only signed a new contract last November.

It has been claimed that Pino’s new deal has a release clause believed to be worth €80million (£67m), an increase from the original €35m (£39m).

Pino would have likely played against Liverpool in the Champions League final last season, but was ruled out with an ankle injury for both legs. He scored seven goals in all competitions last term, the same amount as in his breakthrough season in 2020/21.
