If last season is anything to go by, supporters can expect a title race with plenty of twists and turns.
Manchester City looked to have the Premier League wrapped up by the turn of the year but Liverpool clawed their way back into contention courtesy of a scintillating run of form in the second half of the campaign. The two teams are regarded as the clear favourites to finish in the top two, again, although it remains to be seen as to who will come out on top overall.
Setting such high standards for the rest of the division in recent years has ensured that dropping points against any side is now viewed as a major issue, given both teams are demanding near perfection from one another in their quest for top-flight dominance.
