EasyJet have been cancelling flights across the nation since last week.
The airline has seen an increase on employee sickness due to the coronavirus pandemic. As a result they have already cancelled hundreds of flights, with more cancellations set to be seen for the rest of the week.
Around 60 flights to and from the UK are likely to be grounded today, on April 5, following 62 cancellations on Monday. EasyJet have confirmed that 10 flights were cancelled from Liverpool John Lennon airport over the weekend and a further two flights have been grounded from the same airport today.

The flights affected were to Geneva and Amsterdam. An EasyJet spokesperson told the Liverpool ECHO : "Only two flights from Liverpool to Geneva and Amsterdam and their return flight back to Liverpool were pre-emptive cancelled today as a result of higher than usual levels of employee covid sickness."
They issued a further statement, which said: "EasyJet will operate the vast majority of its 1525 flights today with a small proportion cancelled in advance to give customers the ability to rebook onto alternative flights. We are sorry for any inconvenience for affected customers." Yesterday, they advised that: "Customers have been contacted and provided with their options which include rebooking onto an alternative flight or receiving a voucher or full refund."
