Liverpool defender Jarell Quansah has signed a new contract at the club, capping a week to remember for the 20-year-old defender.
Quansah was yesterday named in the England squad for the U20 World Cup later this month and will be the only Reds representative at the tournament in Argentina. This comes on the back of winning the U19 European Championship with the Three Lions last year, which saw him score a crucial semi-final goal en route to the showpiece fixture.
The talented centre-back represented Liverpool under-21s for much of this season before being loaned to League One Bristol Rovers during the January transfer window, where he quickly manager a first-choice option under manager Joey Barton.

"The sky's the limit for him, he can be whatever he wants," said Barton earlier this year of the youngster's ability. "Jurgen Klopp doesn't feel the way he feels about you, training with the first team, unless you're a good player."
Quansah, who has been at the Academy since the age of five, captained the Liverpool under-18s side that reached the FA Youth Cup final two years ago before making the step up to Premier League 2 last season. He has since and being named on the bench for three first-team games, though remains in search of a maiden senior appearance.
