Live images of aurora borealis in Scotland are being streamed online this morning. The beautiful live images of the Northern Lights are being streamed from Burrafirth in Unst - one of the North Isles of the Shetland Islands.
The spectacular scenes are a result of a Coronal Mass Ejection, which left the surface of the sun two days ago, reaching Earth.
Parts of northern Scotland were also treated to the light show earlier this week. Pictures were captured by Morag Macleod and her husband Kenny as they travelled home to Nairn, and were posted on Twitter and Facebook.

The Northern Lights used to puzzle people for centuries before progression in technology and astronomy brought experts to the conclusion that the display happens when particles from space enter Earth's atmosphere at high velocity.
Electrically charged particles entering the atmosphere are attracted to the magnetic North and South Poles.
