The Green Bay Packers are in Denver to play Sean Payton’s Broncos at EmPower Field at Mile High in a preseason clash on Sunday night.
The two teams engaged in a joint practice on Friday, so Packers coach Matt LaFleur has decided most starters and veterans won’t play on Sunday.
The primetime game — if such a thing exists in the preseason — will be televised nationally on NFL Network.

Greg Joseph missed a 47-yard field goal. The Packers’ kicker competition stinks.

The Packers won’t be shutout! Zach Morton, a recent signing, stunted inside and sacked Zach Wilson in the end zone for a safety. Daniel Whelan’s punt inside the 20-yard line and a penalty set up the safety.
Ball is out!
The @Broncos get it back.

A strip sack on Michael Pratt — the result of Travis Glover missing a block and Pratt not protecting the football — resulted in a field goal for the Broncos, who now lead 20-0.

The Packers get a takeaway. Arron Mosby’s pressure combined with a tipped ball from James Ester created a tip drill interception for Kristian Welch to open the second half.

A Packers highlight! Brenton Cox Jr. beat right tackle Frank Crum and dumped Jarrett Stidham for a 7-yard loss.
Michael Pratt replaced Sean Clifford at quarterback for the final drive of the second half. Clifford had a rough night. He completed 6-of-10 passes for 43 yards and a bad interception, and the Packers went 0-for-4 scoring points on his drives (Turnover on downs, Punt, Punt, Interception).

The Broncos go up 17-0 on Jarrett Stidham’s touchdown run. Brenton Cox Jr., Ralen Goforth and Kalen King all had a chance to make the stop on third down but couldn’t make the tackle.
Another week, another INT for @KeidronS 😤

Sean Clifford threw an interception under pressure. Looked like Clifford just missed the throw to Joel Wilson, while Kadeem Telfort got beat at left tackle on an inside move.

Bo Nix is slicing and dicing the Packers backup defense. He threw a 2-yard touchdown pass to Tim Patrick to extend the lead to 10-0 early in the second quarter. Nix, the Broncos’ top pick, is 8-of-9 passes for 80 yards and a score.
The Broncos took the early lead after a 14-yard Bo Nix touchdown pass was negated by an illegal forward pass penalty. Nix was otherwise perfect passing on the drive. Lutz kicked a short field goal to put the Broncos up 3-0.
The Packers report 31 players won’t play on Sunday night, including quarterback Jordan Love, running back Josh Jacobs, the top four wide receivers, the top two tight ends and most of the starting defense.
