An apartment situated on one of the most historic squares on Merseyside is set to go under the hammer.
Hamilton Square features quaint Georgian terraces and was constructed in the Wirral town of Birkenhead between 1825 and 1847.
Many of the stunning properties are now occupied by businesses, including solicitors' offices, tailors, kitchen fitters and a pottery shop, although a few remain residential.

One such apartment is set to go under the hammer with UK Property Auctions on Monday, May 8 2023, with a guide price of £69,000.
The ground floor unit sits on the corner of Hamilton Square at numbers 35-36 and boasts two bedrooms. The exterior is historic and charming, with black wrought iron railings and a series of stone steps leading to the solid front door.
There are huge arched windows and stone pillars with ornate detailing to add to the period splendour.
Inside, the flat has been modernised, with open plan living space boasting huge bay windows overlooking the square's sights, including the Queen Victoria Memorial and Birkenhead Cenotaph.
The location is also excellent and is a stone's throw from both Conway Park and Hamilton Square train stations.
According to the listing, the flat is tenanted and has a rental income of £600 per calendar month. UK Property Auctions added the property is an "excellent buy to let opportunity in Birkenhead achieving a 9.6% yield."
Over the last year, properties on Hamilton Square have fetched an average of £104,000.
The square itself was brought to fruition by shipbuilder William Laird, the influential businessman behind Cammell Laird shipyard, and its name derives from his wife's maiden name.
It was designed by Edinburgh architect James Gillespie Graham and is understood to have the most Grade I-listed buildings outside London and after Trafalgar Square.
