LIV Golf star Jediah Morgan has admitted he has been left 'frustated' with the Saudi-funded series' 2023 schedule, calling on CEO Greg Norman to increase the amount of events on the season calendar.
After hosting eight events across its maiden campaign, LIV bosses increased the amount of tournaments to 14 for season two, taking place between February and October. One of the breakaway circuit's newly introduced events takes place next week, when the head to Australia for the first time for LIV Adelaide.
One man who will be pleased to see the Saudi-funded series head down under more than most, is Australian starlet Morgan.
After impressing LIV bosses in their inaugural year, Morgan was invited back to compete in 2023, joining Marc Leishman, Matt Jones and Open champion Cameron Smith on the all-Aussie Ripper GC team. The 23-year-old has competed in the opening three LIV events of the season, with his best finish coming in his last outing in Orlando earlier this month.
It seems this is not enough golf for Morgan though, who would like to see the schedule expanded even more in 2024. “I think a lot of the guys would like to see it grow to 18 events," he said per News.com.au.
"But that’s from a young guy speaking. Others might like 14. You probably need to play a few more events each year to keep yourself sharp. There’s obviously quite a bit of time off with the LIV stuff at the moment, which is a little bit frustrating.
“Part of being a good golfer is playing a few tournaments in a row, and getting some form that way.” Morgan offers a differing opinion to a number of his other fellow LIV players, with many citing the reason behind their decision was strongly influenced by playing less golf and being able to spend more time with their families.

One man who shares that view is 2022 LIV Golf champion Dustin Johnson. The 2020 Masters champion became one of the biggest names to make the controversial Saudi switch last summer, after winning 24 titles - including two majors - whilst competing on the PGA Tour.
Featuring on the Tour's recently released Netflix documentary 'Full Swing', Johnson said: "For me it was playing less, making more money. Pretty simple. Someone offers anyone a job, doing the same thing they're already doing but less time at the office and they're gonna pay them more. Pretty sure you're gonna take it. And something's wrong with you if you didn't."
