Tyrrell Hatton And Legion XIII Claim Dominant Wins At LIV Golf Nashville

Tyrrell Hatton dominated proceedings at LIV Golf Nashville on Sunday, as the Englishman finished at 19-under-par to take home his first LIV Golf title after joining the League in January of this year.

Carding a cool 65 to cruise to a six shot victory ahead of compatriot, Sam Horsfield, who secured his highest ever finish on the LIV Tour, Hatton's win helped his Legion XIII side also claim the team spoils in Nashville.

Behind Horsfield were the quartet of Bryson DeChambeau, Joaquin Niemann, Lee Westwood and Jon Rahm, who were all 12-under, but none of the chasers could lay a glove on Hatton who looked in control throughout the 18 holes.

Carding birdies on the third and fourth holes, he added further gains at the seventh, ninth and 11th to extend his lead further, with a closing birdie handing him a first professional title since the 2021 Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship.

Along with his victory, Legion XIII (-40), led by Captain, Rahm, would similarly run away as comfortable winners in the team competition over Crushers GC (-35) and Torque GC (-34).

Updates from...

GOOD EVENING

Hello all, and welcome to our final day's coverage of LIV Golf Nashville, which has a number of big names in contention. Currently, Tyrrell Hatton leads, but Bryson DeChambeau and Jon Rahm are in pursuit, with Crushers GC stand-in, John Catlin, demonstrating some fine play on Friday and Saturday.

We are set for some great action, so sit back and relax as we take you through the next few hours at The Grove.

WELCOME TO THE LIVE BLOG!

Hello everyone and welcome to this evening's Golf Monthly live blog of all the LIV Golf action from Nashville, Tennessee.

Tyrell Hatton holds a three shot lead overnight, while his Legion XIII team hold a five shot lead over the Crushers GC, captained by US Open champion Bryson DeChambeau.

HATTON HIGHLIGHTS THE SIGNATURE GROUP

Here is the final group heading into Sunday.

American John Catlin sits in 2nd place, three shots behind Hatton, while DeChambeau sits four behind at -9.

RAHM SITS AT -9

Jon Rahm claims he is finally playing pain-free after having to withdraw from the US Open with a foot injury.

His Legion XIII team sit clear at the top of the team standings, while Rahm sits in a tie for 3rd at -9.

RAHM, SMITH UNDERWAY

With country music blazing, Sunday is underway at LIV Golf Nashville.

Unfortunately for Cam Smith, his struggles with the driver continue as his drive sails into the penalty area right of the fairway.

Rahm safely finds the short grass.

RAHM GIVES HIMSELF A BRIDIE LOOK ON NUMBER 1

After smashing a drive down the middle to leave himself just 79 yards to the hole, Rahm sticks his wedge to about 6 feet to give himself an early look at birdie.

RAHM MOVES TO -10 WITH AN OPENING HOLE BIRDIE

Rahm gets off to the perfect start as he rolls in his short birdie putt on the first hole. Tyrell Hatton's lead is reduced to three before the Englishman begins his round.

HATTON, DECHAMBEAU AND CATLIN UNDERWAY

All three members of the final group safely find the fairway on the short par 4 first hole.

DeChambeau looks to be continuing his 'man of the people' persona, with high fives and autographs flying on the first tee box.

BOGEY TO START THE DAY FOR CAM SMITH

After finding the penalty area with his drive, Smith chipped out to the fairway before finding the green and having a 6ft putt for par.

It slides by for the Ripper GC captain for an opening hole bogey.

HATTON AND DECHAMBEAU SAFELY ABOARD FIRST GREEN

Flicks of wedges for both DeChambeau and Hatton as they hit the first green in regulation. They'll have around 12-15ft birdie looks each.

HATTON INCHES FROM OPENING BIRDIE

Tyrell Hatton leaves his birdie putt right in the jaws of the hole - one more oscillation and it would have dropped.

DeChambeau also left his birdie try short, while Catlin hit a smart chip to tap in range after missing the green with his approach.

ITS HOT OUT THERE IN NASHVILLE

Much like the heat at Pinehurst No.2 last week, temperatures in Nashville currently sit around 33c.

Unfortunately for Hatton and Rahm, their Legion XIII uniform is black....

BACK TO BACK BIRDIE TO START FOR RAHM

What a start for Rahm and Legion XIII!

Rahm rolls in another birdie putt on the 2nd hole to move to -11. It's currently a Legion one-two at the top of the leaderboard, with the team holding a nine shot lead over Crushers GC on the team leaderboard.

DECHAMBEAU MISSES THE GREEN AT THE SECOND

A poor long-iron shot from Bryson sees him miss the green to the right on his approach to the second green. Hatton and Catlin both safely find the putting surface, but have birdie putts from over 30ft away.

COMFY PAR FOR RAHM ON THE 3RD HOLE

While the leaders grind for pars on the 2nd hole, Jon Rahm rolls a 25ft birdie putt to tap-in range. He remains at -11.

DECHAMBEAU AND CATLIN BOGEY THE 2ND HOLE

DeChambeau's chip from the right rough rolls out to around 6ft, but he fails to convert his par putt as he falls to -8.

Catlin fails to two-putt from 30ft, with his first attempt running a good 8ft past the hole before he missed the par putt back. He drops to -9.

Hatton is the only man with a clean card in the final group after an excellent lag putt from distance gives him a kick in par to remain at -13, two ahead of Rahm.

ICYMI: RAHM'S BIRDIE PUTT ON THE 2ND

This is how Rahm piled more pressure on teammate Hatton at the top of the leaderboard as he buried this birdie putt on the second.

Rahm looks to make another birdie on the drivable par 4 4th hole, with his drive trickling over the back of the green. He should have a pretty straight forward up and down depending on the lie as he looks to move to -12.

MARQUEE GROUP ALL HIT THE GREEN ON THE 3RD

The final group are all aboard the par 3 3rd green safely, but no player is within 15ft of the hole with Hatton and DeChambeau having 25ft+ birdie looks.

HATTON BIRDIES THE 3RD!

What a putt from Tyrell, whose birdie putt slowly trickled over the ridge on the green before picking up speed and finding the centre of the cup.

Hatton's overnight three shot lead is now restored as he jumps to -14.

Both DeChambeau and Catlin make comfortable pars to remain where they are.

ANOTHER BIRDIE FOR RAHM ON THE 4TH

Rahm played a relatively average chip to around 8ft, but made no mistake with his birdie putt.

He makes his third birdie in the opening four holes to move to -12, two back of Hatton who currently stands on the tee of the drivable par 4 4th.

DECHAMBEAU DRIVES THE GREEN ON THE PAR 4

DeChambeau hits just a three wood (!!!) on the 4th to the heart of the green. That's 300+ yards up the hill, by the way.

Hatton's drive misses the green to the left, while Catlin misses short to the left.

TORQUE GC MAKING A CHARGE

Back-to-back birdies for Carlos Ortiz on the 3rd and 4th holes is matched by team captain Joaquin Niemann on the 10th and 11th as they make a move up the team standings.

They now sit in 2nd place at -27, eight shots behind Legion XIII.

NO EAGLE FOR BRYSON, BUT DECHAMBEAU MOVES TO -9 WITH BIRDIE AS HATTON EXTENDS HIS LEAD

His lengthy eagle attempt from 25ft had a look at the hole on it's way past, but DeChambeau will have to settle for birdie on the 4th.

Meanwhile, Hatton successfully scrambles from the front left bunker to re-establish his three shot lead over Jon Rahm, who missed a birdie putt of his own up on the 5th.

RAHM FINDS THE WATER OFF THE 6TH TEE

Our first hot mic of the evening lands with Jon Rahm on the 6th as he pulls his drive into the water hazard that hugs the left side of the fairway.

"Right in my f******* back swing, those drones" he screams as he ball flies through the air, heading for a watery grave.

RAHM FINDS THE WATER FOR THE SECOND TIME ON THE 6TH!

Disaster for a frustrated Rahm.

He takes his penalty drop after finding the water from the tee, but with the ball above his feet he hooks his 3rd shot into the same water hazard up by the green.

He's staring at a big number while Hatton sits three ahead of the Spaniard.

BOGEY FOR HATTON ON THE 5TH

After finding the front bunker, Hatton fails to hole his 7ft putt for par.

He looks perplexed that his putt didn't break as much as he thought and had a full conversation with his caddie (with a few bad words thrown in there).

Hatton's lead falls to two shots, albeit with Rahm in trouble on the 6th.

ICYMI: JON RAHM HOT MIC AFTER FINDING THE WATER

This was the reaction of Jon Rahm after pulling his tee shot on the 6th into the water...

RAHM TAPS IN FOR DOUBLE BOGEY

Rahm takes his second penalty drop on the 6th and pitches his 5th shot to gimmie range for a tap-in double bogey.

He falls to -10 as his Legion XIII teammate Hatton has his lead extended to four shots.

PARS FOR DECHAMBEAU AND HATTON ON THE 6TH

Both the US Open champ and the European Ryder Cup winner hit wedges into the 6th hole, but both look perplexed when their efforts land around 12ft short of the flag.

They both make stress-free pars on the difficult par 4.

HATTON FINDS THE FAIRWAY ON THE 7TH

Hatton hammers a drive down the centre of the fairway on the par 5 7th hole, while DeChambeau hits his drive into the left fairway bunker.

It looks like Bryson's tee shot has nestled under the lip of the bunker, meaning he'll have to lay up on the gettable par 5.

NIEMANN, TORQUE CONTINUE TO MAKE A MOVE

Neimann is on fire out there, and after rolling in a 12ft birdie putt on the 14th he's birdied five of the opening seven holes.

Torque GC climb to -27, six back from Legion XIII.

BOUNCE BACK BIRDIE FOR RAHM ON THE 7TH

Rahm only found the front edge of the green on the 7th, but chips in to snatch back one of the two shots he dropped on the 6th after his double bogey.

Rahm is back to -11, with Legion XIII extending their team lead to six shots over the surging Torque GC.

TREMENDOUS CHIP BY CATLIN ON THE 7TH

Catlin missed long on the 7th, but plays a beautiful chip from below the surface of the green to less than 2 feet. He taps in for birdie to move to -11, tied for second place with Jon Rahm.

After finding the fairway bunker off the tee, Dechambeau misses a 15ft birdie putt on the par 5.

HATTON REACHES -15

With a 5ft birdie putt finding the bottom of the cup on the 7th, Hatton extends his lead at the top of the leaderboard to four shots at -15.

Legion XIII's lead on the team leaderboard grows to seven.

ANOTHER FAIRWAY FOUND FOR HATTON AS RAHM FAILS WITH BIRDIE TRY ON THE 8TH

LIV's broadcast just clocked an 82% winning probability for Hatton thru seven holes.

His drive on the 8th hasn't done that number any harm as he smashes another one down the middle.

Up ahead on the green, Rahm fails with a lengthy birdie try from 25ft.

CATLIN STICKS ONE CLOSE ON THE 7TH

What a fantastic wedge shot that was from John Catlin, who has the courage to throw a wedge all the way to that back flag on the 7th. He flights it down into the wind and sticks it to around 4ft.

Hatton and DeChambeau both safely find the green but neither have realistic chances for birdie given the length of their putts.

WIND PICKING UP IN NASHVILLE

The sky has clouded over a bit, and the wind is picking up at LIV Golf Nashville.

This is all playing into the hands of Hatton as the field attempt to mount a chase - but his lead remains four shots.

CATLIN MISSES SHORT BIRDIE PUTT AS HATTON MAKES PAR

Disappointment for Catlin after such a gorgeous second shot as his short birdie putt lips out on the 7th.

Hatton safely two putts from distance to remain at -15.

RAHM IN TROUBLE ON 9

Jon Rahm flew the green with his approach on the 9th hole before playing a poor pitch shot to the edge of the green.

His 22ft par putt rolls short, meaning he'll drop to -10 alongside DeChambeau.

CATLIN FINDS THE PENALTY AREA ON 9

Hatton's competitors are falling away one-by-one.

After missing the fairway to the right and finding himself behind a tree, he's forced to hit a cut shot but catches it fat and it sails into the hazard short of the green.

He'll have his work cut out to save bogey.

Shortly afterwards, Hatton sticks a short iron to around 10ft on the same hole as he looks to extend his lead further.

DOUBLE BOGEY FOR CATLIN

After taking his penalty drop and hitting a wedge from just over 100 yards to 10ft, Catlin fails to make his putt for bogey.

He'll drop to -9.

HATTON HAS ONE HAND ON THE TROPHY AFTER BIRDIE ON THE 9TH

He's running away with it now...

Tyrrell rolls in a 14ft birdie putt after a beautiful approach with a seven iron to move to -6.

It's now a five shot lead for the Englishman, who hasn't looked like making a mistake all day so far.

NINE HOLES TO GO...

Here's how we stand heading into the back nine in Nashville.

The lead for Hatton is six after that birdie on the 9th. DeChambeau and Rahm both sit at -10, but neither have had their A game so far today.

As for the teams, it's Legion XIII sitting pretty at -34 - a seven shot lead over DeChambeau's Crushers GC and Torque GC in second place.

It doesn't look like we'll have much drama down the stretch, but you never know...

HATTON MISSES LONG ON 10 AS DECHAMBEAU FINDS THE GREEN

It's the first real mistake Hatton has made today as he over-clubs on his approach to the 10th and goes over the back of the green - it should be a pretty easy up-and-down from there however.

DeChambeau has found the green in regulation but has well over 20ft to go for his birdie.

HATTON CLEANS UP FOR PAR ON 10

His chip from the back of the green wasn't great - he left himself an 8 footer for par, but Hatton walks to the 11th tee with a clean scorecard after holing his par putt to remain -16.

DeChambeau carded another stress free par, but it's getting late early for the chasing pack with Hatton seemingly unable to make mistakes today.

RAHM BIRDIES THE 11TH

It's an easy birdie for Jon Rahm after he found the green on the par 5 11th hole in two shots.

He moves to -11 to put a little pressure back on Hatton, who successfully found the fairway with his drive on the same hole.

HATTON, DECHAMBEAU MISS GREEN ON 11

Both with wood in hand, they both go for the par 5 in two but neither succeed.

Hatton has short-sided himself in the greenside bunker right of the hole, while DeChambeau's approach comes up 10 yards short.

RAHM PLUGGED IN FRONT BUNKER ON 12

It's not looking good for Rahmbo's chances as his approach shot on 12 comes up short and plugs in the front bunker.

His sand shot runs out to around 20ft as he battles for a par.

HATTON MAKES ANOTHER BIRDIE!

For a moment on the 11th green, DeChambeau cut Hatton's lead to five shots after holing a 12ft birdie putt on the par 5.

That was until Hatton made his 6ft birdie putt to move to -17! He played an exquisite bunker shot from the short-sided sand trap to set up the opportunity.

Hatton is cruising out there!

SAM HORSFIELD MOVES INTO A TIE FOR SECOND PLACE

Englishman Sam Horsfield moves into T2 after a birdie on the 14th.

He sits at -11 alongside the US Open champion DeChambeau.

HATTON PLUGGED IN THE BUNKER ON 12

Remember that bunker Rahm was plugged in on 12? Well, Hatton has found it too. And guess what... it looks like it's plugged.

Potential trouble for the leader, but he still has a six shot lead.

DOOR OPENS SLIGHTLY AS HATTON BOGEYS THE 12TH

He was indeed plugged in the front bunker, so Hatton could only advance his bunker shot to 20ft past the flag.

The subsequent par putt slides by and the leader's cushion falls to five shots.

HATTON SAFELY ABOARD THE 13TH GREEN

Hatton finds the front of the green on the 13th but has over 40ft between himself and the flag. It could be a tricky two-putt after the bogey on the last hole.

Meanwhile, Torque GC are trying to make a competition of the team leaderboard, they're within three shots of Legion XIII after a birdie from Niemann...

RAHM RESPONDS WITH A BIRDIE ON 14

Torque GC fans won't like the sight of Rahm rolling in a 12ft birdie putt on the 14th to move Legion XIII to -35.

The lead remains four with four holes to go, but remember - all four players scores count on Sundays, so things can change quickly.

GUTSY PAR FOR HATTON

His long birdie putt rolled a good 8ft past the hole, but Hatton makes no mistakes over a knee-knocker of a par putt on the 13th.

He holds his five shot lead and might have an eye on the team leaderboard with Legion XIII's lead shrinking due to a surging Torque GC.

THE RAIN IS TEEMING DOWN IN NASHVILLE!

The heavens have opened at LIV Nashville!

Players are hiding under their umbrellas while a brave few continue to fire away, including DeChambeau, who smokes a three wood down the 14th fairway.

PLAY SUSPENDED

The horn sounds in Nashville due to this insanely heavy rain shower.

According to the broadcast there isn't any electrical activity in the area, so hopefully we can get back underway shortly.

For now, play is suspended temporarily due to 'severe weather'.

WEATHER UPDATE: THE SUN IS OUT!

Holds your horses though - yes, the sun is out... but it's still raining. Heavily.

I can't imagine this weather delay is going to last much longer.

RAIN HAS STOPPED, PLAY SET TO GET UNDERWAY

The players look ready to go so we should be underway shortly with the rain stopped and the sun out.

As a European, I'm stunned they suspended play given there was no lightning, but maybe that's just me...

WE'RE BACK UNDERWAY!

About 15 minutes after the rain ended, play resumes.

We have no idea why it took so long, or why play was suspended in the first place, but none of that matters!

Let's see if Hatton can close this one out.

RAHM BIRDIES THE 15TH AFTER DELAY

Before the delay, Rahm stuck his tee shot on the par 3 15th to 6 feet. He had to wait a while to polish it up due to the weather, but it was worth the wait.

The putt drops and Rahm moves to -12, tied second with Horsfield, and extends Legion XIII's team lead to five.

HATTON STICHES APPROACH SHOT ON 14

Nerves? What nerves?

From 66 yards out, Hatton sticks his approach to inside 2 feet.

That'll be a kick in birdie to extend his personal lead and the team lead for Legion XIII.

HATTON BIRDIES, LEADS BY FIVE

That could well be that.

Hatton cleans up for birdie on 14 to move to -17, five ahead of Horsfield and Rahm.

Legion XIII now lead by five on the team leaderboard.

HATTON HITS BEAUTY INTO 15

Yeah, this is over.

Hatton's tee shot on the par 3 15th dances around the pin before settling around 10ft from the flag.

DeChambeau's effort comes up 25ft short of the flag but is safe on the green.

HEARTBREAKING LIP-OUT FOR DECHAMBEAU ON 15, HATTON BIRDIES AGAIN

Wow, what a putt from Bryson.

From miles away, DeChambeau's putt looks set to drop but hits the flagstick before lipping out of the hole.

DeChambeau lay out on his back on the green in disbelief.

Hatton would clean up his birdie putt on the same hole to restore his six shot lead, he's three holes from a spray of champagne on the winners podium.

LAHIRI EAGLE BOOSTS CRUSHERS PODIUM CHANCES

Anirban Lahiri rolls in an eagle putt from the back of the 4th green to move the Crushers GC to -32.

Moments later, Paul Casey birdies the 16th for his third straight birdie - the Crushers now have solo second place at -33, three shots clear of Torque in 3rd.

WESTWOOD EAGLES THE 18TH, HORSFIELD BIRDIES

Hell of a few minutes for the Majesticks, with Westwood notching an eagle and Horsfield a birdie on the 18th.

Horsfield now sits in 2nd place alone at -13, one ahead of Rahm, while the Majesticks move into a tie for third place at -31.

HATTON NOT TAKING FOOT OFF THE PEDAL, HITs NICE APPROACH ON 17

Moments after Catlin hit a beauty to 4ft, Hatton hits his own stellar approach shot with a short iron to around 12 ft.

Quite the procession for Hatton, this....

WESTWOOD BIRDIES HIS FINAL HOLE TO POST 66

It's a final round 66 for Lee Westwood to finish the week on -12, currently tied for third.

The birdie helps the Majesticks, who sit in T3 alongside Torque on -32.

ORTIZ BIRDIES 18, MUNOZ CHIPS IN TO MOVE TORQUE TO -34

Heartbreak for the Majesticks as Torque's Ortiz birdies the 18th and Sebastian Munoz chips in on the 3rd to move them to -34.

It comes moments after Henrik Stenson failed to make a birdie after driving over the back of the drivable par 4th hole. They'll now finish one shot outside of the podium places.

HATTON HEADS UP 18 ON HIS WAY TO VICTORY

There was no birdie for Hatton on 17, but he stripes another drive down 18 as he prepares for his first solo victory on the LIV tour.

His team, Legion XIII, have all but won the team competition, too.

Not a bad sunday...

DECHAMBEAU BIRDIES THE LAST

Bryson rolls in a 12ft birdie putt on the final hole to the delight of the Nashville crowd.

He'll now take a well deserved two week break.

HATTON WINS LIV GOLF NASHVILLE

The result hasn't been in question for a while, but it's now official!

Congratulations to Tyrrell Hatton, the individual winner of LIV Nashville.

To add to the celebrations, Legion XIII take home the team title, too!
