The World Darts Championship draw for 2025 has been revealed with a potentially box office second-round draw for Luke Littler.
Littler burst onto the scene as a 16-year-old in last year’s event and according to the best UK betting sites, the fearless youngster is priced as the 2/1 favourite to dethrone Luke Humphries and become ‘King of the Palace’ in 2025.
He could face a second-round match-up with the ‘Queen of the Palace,’ Fallon Sherrock, who became the first female player to win a match – and subsequently two consecutive matches – at the World Championships in 2019, if she can get past Ryan Meikle first.
Humphries, who climbed to the pinnacle of darts with a 7-4 triumph over Littler in the final last year, will begin his title defence against the winner of Thibault Tricole vs Joe Comito.
The betting suggests there is little to separate the pair, with Humphries priced at a slightly bigger 3/1 – but ‘Cool Hand’ will head to the English capital full of confidence after beating Littler in the Players Championship final on Sunday.
Littler’s debut season has been nothing short of phenomenal and the teenager will enter Alexandra Palace as the rightful favourite, having earned over £1 million in total prize money with three major wins in the Grand Slam, Premier League and World Series Finals.

How to watch the 2025 World Darts Championship: Start date and TV channel
The 2025 World Darts Championship begins on Sunday, December 15 with three first-round matches and one second-round clash to begin proceedings in London.
The action continues for the next eight days straight before a three-day break from the 24th-26th before the third round commences on the 27th.
The third and fourth rounds will be done and dusted by the 30th before the quarter-finals start on New Year’s Day and the semi-finals take place a day later.
