Hit reality TV series Little People Big World is celebrating an engagement, but some fans aren't impressed.
News has broken that Matt Roloff is set to say "I do" to Caryn Chandler after six years of being together.
The pair have revealed they are looking forward to a "simple but elegant" ceremony.
Matt, 61, and his wife-to-be Caryn, 55, took to Instagram to share a sweet joint message in which the stunning engagement ring was front and centre.
As the pair beamed for the photo, the caption read: "She said Yes! #LPBW couple Matt and Caryn are engaged."
Sharing further details, Matt revealed: "Our plan is to enjoy our engagement and we are looking forward to a simple but elegant wedding in 2024."
Basking in the news, one user gleefully wrote: "Congratulations! So happy for you!!"
Another agreed, adding: "May they live their BEST LIVES together."
However, despite an influx of positivity and well wishes, the pair were also met with an abundance of negativity.
One user commented: "Can’t even pretend to be happy for them," while another slyly remarked: "Lmao... Did you really think she'd say no to his bank account?"
A third left a similarly nasty comment, saying: "Seems like she's only after money, reality TV fame, etc & with his massive ego & selfishness, he just wants an average size "trophy" wife.
"This, after discarding the mother of his children, who put in all the real work at home for years, so he could play on his 'toys' & try to prove how he's a 'big man'. They deserve each other."
The backlash seems to come in support of Matt's ex Amy Roloff, who started the journey on TLC's Little People Big World with him.
But another fan admitted: "Amy moved on. So it's only right that Matt did too. It's called moving forward with life."
The now-divorced couple both have dwarfism and share four kids, 32-year-old twins Zach and Jeremy, Molly, 29, and Jacob, 26.
Son Zach also has dwarfism.
The pair were married between 1986 and 2016 with their split highly publicised on the reality TV show.
Despite the vicious comments in support of Amy, she herself has moved on too and married Chris Marek in 2021.
The pair had initially pondered the idea of inviting Matt and Caryn to their special day but decided to avoid any potential drama.
