Little Mix star Leigh-Anne Pinnock in 'nightmare' after debut solo material is leaked online

Little Mix star Leigh-Anne Pinnock has already announced plans to launch a solo career after 10 “amazing” years with the girl band.

But the 30-year-old’s record label, Warner Music, have reportedly launched an investigation after an early demo of one of her new tracks was leaked online.

The song, called I Need You, began circulating on social media this week leaving record execs scrambling to get it taken down as quickly as possible.

Links to the clip were swiftly replaced with a copyright message which said: “This media has been disabled in response to a report by the copyright owner.”

A source told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre column: “The track is an extremely early version, but any leak is a nightmare.

“Bosses acted quickly and are determined to get to the bottom of how it appeared online - because only a handful of people had heard it.”

The source added: “They are taking it extremely seriously. Leigh-Anne is working hard to give fans the music they deserve.”

Leigh-Anne signed a mega deal with Warner Music after record companies fought to snap her up as a solo artist when Little Mix went on hiatus in December 2020.

The label also represents huge stars such as Ed Sheeran, Dua Lipa and Madonna.

Before releasing new music, which she has already been “working on for months”, Leigh-Anne made her movie debut

She starred as Georgia in Britain’s first black Christmas rom com, Boxing Day, which was released in December 2021.

As well as acting, she sang two tracks in the film – and said her cover of I Say A Little Prayer will “forever be one of my proudest moments”.

After roaring success with Little Mix – who rose from X Factor winners to one of the UK’s biggest ever girl bands – Leigh-Anne can’t wait to step out on her own.

It is claimed she is even set to follow in Girls Aloud star Cheryl’s footsteps and drop her last name.

The singer registered the domain name Leigh-Anne.com earlier this month and the website says it is currently “under construction”.

And the busy mum-of-two, who shares twins with fiancé Andre Gray, has already been spotted in the studio.

Sharing behind the scenes snaps on Instagram, Leigh-Anne revealed she had jetted off to Jamaica to record her debut solo album.

Posting a photo of herself as she sang down a mic in a recording booth, she captioned the post: “Mama hard at work.”

It is thought her and Andre will wed in Jamaica later this summer.

The couple, who have been engaged for two years, are said to have chosen the exotic destination because the country means a lot to them as they both have British and Jamaican heritage.

They apparently only want their nearest and dearest there to be a part of their big day.

Leigh-Anne's bandmates Perrie, 28 and Jade, 29, are both said to be among the wedding guests who have bagged an exclusive invitation.
