Little Mix's One Show appearance leaves fans in tears over Alex Jones' announcement

Little Mix fans were hit with a devastating realisation as host Alex Jones introduced the girls to The One Show on Tuesday night, with many left wiping away tears.

Earlier on in the day th e BBC programme confirmed that, ahead of taking to the stage of Nottingham on their Confetti tour, Jade, Perrie and Leigh-Anne would be appearing live to join Alex and co-host and Jermaine Jenas for an interview. The One Show also appealed for fans to send their questions in to the Brit winners and were inundated with responses.

After sitting through over 20 minutes of the show without barely a glimpse of Little Mix, those who turned in were rewarded for their patience in the closing minutes when the now trio appeared on screen. However, the fact Alex introduced Jade, Perrie and Leigh-Anne as being on to give their ‘last ever TV interview,’ adding: “at least for a bit,” left fans upset as it hit home that there are now just days to go until the group who shot to fame on The X Factor in 2011 go their separate ways.

Taking to Twitter, one posted: “Just hearing the one show presenter say this is Little Mix’s last interview before the break had me emotional so i honestly dread to think how i’ll be in the cinema on Sat, i just don't think i’m ready to say goodbye to my girls yet.” Finding it equally hard to stomach, another reacted: “ nah why am i crying at little mix on the one show? they’ve been there since i was 11, not ready to let them go yet. i’m going to be a mess at the last show.

During Little Mix's brief interview, Perrie and Leigh-Anne opened up about the 'magical' feeling of being a mum, while Jade teased that they all have things in the pipeline for when they take a break after their final tour date on Saturday.
