Little Mix' Leigh-Anne Pinnock opens up about choosing names for baby twins

Little Mix' Leigh-Anne Pinnock has opened up about her decision not to reveal the names of her twin babies.

Leigh-Anne said that she had not made the tots' names public due to concerns about the impact public attention would have on the infants.

Leigh-Anne and her fiancé, footballer Andre Gray, have not revealed the identities of their children, including their names or gender.

Although the twins frequently appear on Leigh-Anne's social media page, they are always photographed from the back, with their faces concealed.

Speaking to The Sun ahead of Little Mix's final show before they go on hiatus, Leigh-Anne said: “I’m just trying to keep it as private as possible for as long as possible.

"It was a decision we made at the time because [the attention] was freaking me out a little bit.”

Leigh-Anne and bandmate Perrie Edwards became mothers within just one week of each other, and the band have started joking about how much the atmosphere on tour has changed since two of the three became parents.

Leigh-Anne, Perrie, and Jade Thirlwall now joke that the backstage booze has been replaced by all the apparatus needed to support their children.

Perrie said: “It’s all baby bouncers, highchairs, you name it. Life has changed.

"I mean, we were never exactly rockstars before – it wasn’t like you’d walk into bottles of Jack Daniels all over the place with us having it large. But it is a different dynamic.”

Little Mix have now revealed that they are planning to take a hiatus from recording together to mallow them to pursue their own independent projects.

But the trio are keen to emphasise that they still want to help and support each other as much as they can.

They have even revealed that they are planning to manage their solo releases to make sure that they never release new music at the same time as each other.

Despite wanting to pursue solo projects, Little Mix have nonetheless said that they do intent to reunite in the future.

Jade has also spoken of much she respects her bandmates, praising their ability to adapt as "amazing".

She said: “Perrie and Leigh-Anne have had to adapt after having kids and being able to go into full-on rehearsal mode while breastfeeding and having the babies there was so amazing."

The twins do appear on social media with their faces concealed, often posing with their parents either at home or on family outings.

Perrie has also opened up about how challenging it was to go on tour shortly after giving birth.

She praised Jade for keeping her and Leigh-Anne's morale up during the most challenging parts of training for the tour, which involved routines that would be physically demanding at the best of times, never mind shortly after giving birth.

All three are currently keeping their future plans quiet, but will all be pursuing projects on their own after going on hiatus from Little Mix.
