UFC legend Michael Bisping has warned Conor McGregor to make sure he has his bodyguards around the next time they see each other after the Irishman mocked his acting career.
McGregor took to Twitter earlier this week to tell other fighters to stay out of the movie business after he finished shooting his film debut; a remake of Road House with Jake Gyllenhaal. The former featherweight and lightweight world champion joked that other fighters are going to try to follow him to Hollywood, and named Bisping specifically.
“All these little twerps wannabe actors now,” McGregor wrote in one of his infamous 'tweet-and-delete' sprees. “Little twerps, There’s Only One Mac Daddy. Bad to the bone but with a good heart. Action with Jake [Gyllenhaal] or rom com with Sarah Jessica [Parker]. Bisping, 'member that show you were in. Yeah, me neither.”
The legendary British fighter has a host of acting credits to his name, including roles in the reboot of Twin Peaks , the new iteration of Magnum PI and, most famously, the film xXx: Return of Zander Cage. Bisping was on set of the latter when he received his call to fight Luke Rockhold for the middleweight title on just a few days' notice, which he answered and won.
And the former middleweight champion was not taking McGregor's jab lightly, telling the Irishman on an episode of his Podcast Believe You Me : "I was just befuddled. I'm like, 'Where's this coming from? What's that all about?' God bless him, I'm actually on set in Bulgaria and we stopped for a little break and I looked at my phone and someone had shown me that on DM.
"I wasn't annoyed or anything, just scratching my head going, 'Where's that coming from out of the blue?' Look, God bless him, he's doing his first acting thing, it's a big deal and he's all pumped about it... He's all excited, he's had his first beer and he's doing a big show with Jake Gyllenhaal, god bless him. Good for f***ing you. Well done. Why have you got to throw s*** my way? I don't get it."

Bisping's producer then jumped in and joked that McGregor has been "acting like a d***head for years", to which the Brit replied that he "doesn't disagree with that." Then, in a change of pace, he offered a threat the Irish man's way and told him to make sure he has security the next time they see one another.
"Just make sure you've got your bodyguards around you next time you come and want to talk some s*** you little f***," he added, before co-host Anthony Smith continued: "If you and him ran into each other out somewhere and he didn't have ten friends or five bodyguards or whatever, he wouldn't dare say something like that to you, that's the craziest thing to me."
Bisping responded: "I'd like to agree with you there, but he's so f***ing deluded that he would probably fancy himself, which would be a mistake! We'll leave it at that, but it made me scratch my head a little bit."
