The Baltimore Ravens saw defensive lineman Calais Campbell provide them with two years of extremely solid play ever since the team traded for him during the 2020 offseason. He made a huge impact on the field, but also did the same off of it, instantly becoming one of the biggest leaders in the locker room.
On Saturday, it was announced that Campbell agreed to terms on a two-year, $16.5 million contract to bring the hulking defensive lineman back to the Ravens. However, Baltimore wasn’t the only team interested in Campbell’s services, as Josina Anderson put out a list of other organizations that would have reportedly liked for Campbell to join them, including the Indianapolis Colts, Cleveland Browns, and Kansas City Chiefs.
A source also tells me that Calais Campbell had interest from other teams: the #Colts, the #Browns and the #Chiefs. However, the #Ravens were the most aggressive in getting it done now and in bringing Campbell home. @AdamSchefter was first to report the agreement.

If Campbell ended up signing with any of the three teams listed in Anderson’s tweet, he would have been joining an AFC rival of the Ravens. However, Anderson notes that Baltimore was the most aggressive in getting a deal done with the veteran, and now have Campbell under contract for at least one more season.
