Lisandro Martinez signing would see 'three players leave' Manchester United and more rumours

Three players are reportedly expected to leave Manchester United should they complete the signing of Lisandro Martinez.

Reports from the Daily Mirror suggest United will offload three defenders if they sign Martinez, with the Argentina international edging closer to a move to Old Trafford from Dutch side Ajax.

The report claims Eric Bailly, Phil Jones and Axel Tuanzebe will all be moved on, with Harry Maguire, Raphael Varane and Victor Lindelof all likely to be ahead of them in the pecking order for the centre-back spots.

Elsewhere, United have 'entered the race' to sign Lens defender Jonathan Clauss, Standard Sport claim.

The 29-year-old has had two impressive seasons with Lens. The Ligue 1 outfit value the 29-year-old at £8m and French publication L'Equipe suggest the club have rebuffed one approach from Marseille worth £4.2m.

United are looking for a right-back with Aaron Wan-Bissaka free to leave this summer, with former club Crystal Palace linked.
