Lisandro Martinez reveals brilliant nickname for Manchester United teammate Casemiro

Lisandro Martinez has revealed his nickname for Manchester United teammate Casemiro.

Martinez and Casemiro are both new arrivals at Old Trafford this season, as Erik ten Hag added some much-needed steel to United's defence and midfield. The duo have experienced very different starts to life at the club, with Ten Hag immediately integrating Martinez into his starting XI, while Casemiro has had a far gentler introduction to his Old Trafford career.

Scott McTominay's fine form has seen him cement his place in Ten Hag's preferred starting XI, but the Scotsman's poor derby day performance may well see the former Real Madrid man finally handed his Premier League opportunity.

Martinez, meanwhile, has forged a fine partnership with Raphael Varane. Fans will be anxiously awaiting news of the latter's fitness ahead of the Everton game this weekend.

Should Casemiro be given the nod in midfield, he'll be tasked with shielding both Varane and Martinez. The relationship between a defensive midfielder and the centre-backs he's protecting can be key to a side's success, and so United fans will be delighted to see that Casemiro and Martinez already look to have developed a strong bond.

Casemiro took to social media to celebrate his side's 3-2 victory over Omonia Nicosia in the Europa League on Thursday, posting a photo of the team alongside the caption: "+3 points #MUFC."

"Daleee toro," Martinez replied, which translates in English to "come on bull". Although Brazil and Argentina are fierce footballing rivals, Casemiro and Martinez have clearly formed a close bond during their short time together at the club.
