Lisandro Martinez and Cristian Romero have both been left stranded from the Argentina squad ahead of two friendlies due to visa issues caused by the mourning of Queen Elizabeth II.
The 24-year-old Manchester United defender was set to travel out to Miami for their game against Honduras in the early hours of Saturday morning, before they face Jamaica four days later. They are facing their penultimate two matches before the World Cup starts in November, with Argentina facing Saudi Arabia in their first group game.
However, Martinez and Tottenham counterpart Romero have both been left in limbo with the defenders prevented from travelling over to the United States as the US Embassy in England has been closed, according to TyC Sports.
This means the duo haven't been able to get their visas in time to travel with their Argentina teammates for their clash with Honduras. Meanwhile, Lionel Messi has joined up with his teammates along with Angel Di Maria, Leandro Paredes and Nicolas Tagliafico and Argentina will prepare for both games at Inter Miami's training ground.
Messi has been in strong form for Paris Saint-Germain this season after a tough first campaign following his move from Barcelona. The attacker has six goals and eight assists already and looks to be heading into what will surely be his final World Cup in great shape.

It has also been a superb start to the campaign for Martinez, who has impressed in recent weeks since making his £55m switch to Manchester United from Ajax. He has been part of a back two that has won their last four Premier League matches, with Martinez and Raphael Varane playing an important role in their recent up-turn in form.
But Martinez has revealed he is surprised about how well the United fans have taken to him so early on into his Red Devils career. He said: "I'm a little bit surprised, but at the same time I feel very proud. To come here to the best club in the world and the people say 'Argentina, Argentina', it's amazing."
Romero, on the other hand, has helped Tottenham to third in the Premier League with Antonio Conte's side one of only two teams still unbeaten this season.
