Lisa Snowdon has confessed to feeling “emotional” after suffering “uncontrollable rages” over the weekend as she continues to navigate the menopause.

The This Morning star, 50, has spoken openly about dealing with symptoms in the past and she made her latest admission during an Instagram Live with her doctor Naomi Potter.

She said: “I’ve been honest on these chats to talk about the fact that it has really saved me and helped me, and it’s been a game changer but I have been struggling recently. I thought let’s get Naomi on and let’s be brutally honest about the fact that it isn’t always as simple as get on your HRT and you’re going to be fine.”

During the chat, she highlighted the importance of having a good support network.

She said she feel guilty that her fiancé George Smart had taken the brunt of her “uncontrollable rages”.

The model explained: “I think I’m probably going to get a bit emotional today because it has been hard this weekend and I’ve been an absolute cow to George.

“So many of you sent me messages about the rages that you get. These uncontrollable rages that you just turn into somebody else. It’s horrible.”

Praising her doctor for helping her, she continued: ‘I’m lucky that I have you as my doctor, I’m lucky that I’ve got George who is so supportive.”

She added: “The madness of the menopause continues…. It’s ok to not be ok that’s the moral of this week’s Midweek Menopause Madness.

“Thank you for all your continued support. It’s a rollercoaster and sometimes depending on lifestyle changes, stress, world events, illness, life in general the darkness and sadness hits me/us.

“In times like these it’s good to share, it’s good to talk, it’s also good to reevaluate what might be the triggers, looking at diet, and also making sure we move!”

Appearing on This Morning earlier this year, Snowdon said she was about 42 when she first started going through the perimenopause and she didn’t really know what it was.

When she finally got a diagnosis, she said she was “shocked” as she thought it would happen much later.

“I literally had the biggest lump in my throat and I was just confused - it was almost like a punch in the stomach because I didn’t quite know what that meant,” she said.

“But I knew that it was a big change and that you know, fertility perhaps was off the cards — lots of things came into my mind at that moment. And it’s just a real wake up call.”
