Lisa Rinna and daughter Delilah Belle Hamlin star in cyberbullying movie

Lisa Rinna and daughter Delilah Belle Hamlin to star in Lifetime movie.

Lisa Rinna and her daughter Delilah Belle Hamlin are joining forces for an exciting new project on Lifetime. The mother-daughter duo will star in the network's latest movie, 'Mommy Meanest,' inspired by true events.

The film revolves around the story of a teenager who undergoes significant emotional trauma after being cyberbullied through a series of hurtful texts. To her dismay, she ultimately discovers that her own mother is behind the malicious messages.

Written by Stacy Mandelberg, 'Mommy Meanest' follows the journey of divorced mother Madelyn, played by Rinna, who shares a close bond with her daughter Mia, portrayed by Briana Skye. When Mia starts spending more time with her new boyfriend and prepares to leave for college, Madelyn becomes panicked by her daughter's newfound independence. As Mia begins receiving a relentless barrage of degrading texts, Madelyn, a protective mother, becomes determined to uncover the identity of the harasser and goes to great lengths to assist her daughter, eventually bringing them closer together. However, as the texts become increasingly threatening, Mia begins to question whether her tormentor is someone much closer than she could have ever imagined.

This project marks the first time that Rinna and her daughter Hamlin will share the screen. The 25-year-old Hamlin will take on the role of Summer, Mia's friend in the film.

Alongside her acting role, Rinna, a former cast member of 'The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,' will also serve as an executive producer, along with Stacy Mandelberg. Navid Soofi and Greg Beeman will produce the movie, with Beeman directing.

Expressing her excitement, Rinna took to Instagram to share the news, exclaiming, 'I'm so excited to share this!' It is undoubtedly a thrilling opportunity for the mother-daughter duo to work together and showcase their talents in a gripping and timely story tackling the issue of cyberbullying.

For Rinna, 'Mommy Meanest' comes on the heels of her recent involvement in 'American Horror Stories' and her departure from 'The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' in January 2023. Reflecting on her exit, Rinna admitted she didn't anticipate the overwhelmingly positive response from viewers. She jokingly remarked that she felt like she was reading kind words spoken at her own funeral.

As for Hamlin, 'Mommy Meanest' follows her appearance in the 2023 Apple TV+ film, 'How She Caught a Killer.' It is undoubtedly an exciting time for the rising young actress as she continues to make her mark in the industry.

'Mommy Meanest' is set to premiere on Lifetime later this year. Stay tuned for what promises to be a compelling and thought-provoking film that sheds light on the unfortunate consequences of cyberbullying and the complexities of mother-daughter relationships.
