Lip-readers figured out what a heated Patrick Mahomes said after Kadarius Toney’s latest drop

Drops have been a huge issue for the Kansas City Chiefs this season. The team’s receivers just can’t seem to consistently reel the ball in.

Through it all, Patrick Mahomes has remained (mostly) even-keeled. He hasn’t pointed the finger at any of his receivers or demanded that the team go out and find some help. He’s just kept going with the team the Chiefs put together, for better or worse. If anything, he’s blamed officials more than he’s blamed his receiving corps this season.

But, man. After a hilariously bad drop by Kadarius Toney led to an interception against the Patriots on Sunday, Mahomes seemed to have had it. We saw him visibly frustrated on the bench during the game. It’s hard to blame him — the ball went from in Toney’s hands to right into the hands of the Patriots.

Now, we might know exactly Mahomes was saying on the bench. Jomboy broke down what Mahomes was saying after the interception and, well, it wasn’t great, folks!

WARNING: There is some NSFW language in this tweet

Mahomes appeared to be saying “I just don’t [expletive] get it, man.” Yeah, Pat, that makes two of us!

The ball hit Toney right in the hands. Dropping it is one thing. But for it to also lead to an interception? Man. That’s tough. Nobody can blame Mahomes for being more than a bit frustrated here.
