Get ready for an extended catfight this summer in Detroit. The Lions are set to host the Jacksonville Jaguars for a set of joint practices at the team’s training facility in Allen Park during the upcoming training camp.
Sources from both organizations have confirmed the Jaguars will come up to Detroit a few days early in advance of the scheduled preseason matchup. The dates for the preseason are not yet established, but the Jaguars and Lions are set to meet in the second preseason meeting.
The Lions will have joint practices with the New York Giants the prior week, a setup that was announced earlier this offseason.
Detroit dominated Jacksonville, 40-14, in a home win in Week 13 last season. The Jaguars rebounded nicely and proceeded to win six games in a row, including am AFC wild card round win over the Chargers.
