The Detroit Lions have added another free agent to the den. The Lions signed veteran long snapper Jake McQuaide to a one-year contract.
McQuaide becomes the oldest member of the team. The 35-year-old has been in the NFL since 2011, spending the last two seasons with the Dallas Cowboys. McQuaide spent 10 seasons with the Los Angeles Rams prior to that, a tenure that coincided with Lions GM Brad Holmes and assistant GM Ray Agnew’s time with the team.
McQuaide figures to compete for the long snapper position with Scott Daly, who has held the position for the last two seasons. Daly is back in Detroit as a restricted free agent.
