Lions Fans Erupted With Cheers Watching Cowboys’ Collapse on Jumbotron

The Dallas Cowboys had a rough day on Sunday.

Hosting the Green Bay Packers in the wild-card round of the playoffs, the Cowboys were basically dead on arrival, immediately collapsing in front of their home crowd as the Packers ran away with the game.

While fans at AT&T Stadium were obviously miserable, there was another stadium up north that was celebrating at the Cowboys’ downfall.

Fans of the Detroit Lions, who had arrived at Ford Field early ahead of the team’s game against the Los Angeles Rams, were treated to watching the first wild-card game of the night on the Jumbotron and cheered in delight as Dallas crumbled under the bright lights.

Lions fans have good reason to cheer on the Packers, as the Cowboys hold the No. 2 seed in the NFC, with Detroit in the No. 3 spot. With a Dallas loss, the Lions would get to host a second playoff game at Ford Field in the divisional round should they beat the Rams.

While Detroit fans don’t often find themselves cheering on their division rival Green Bay, Sunday made for a well-deserved exception.
