Lions fans have been making their case as some of the best supporters in the NFL. With the team enjoying a strong start to the season, its fans have been showing them plenty of love and turning up to support them en masse whether they’re playing at home or on the road.
That was certainly the case during Sunday’s win against the Buccaneers. Raymond James Stadium hosted plenty of Detroit fans in Week 6, and they didn’t leave after the final whistle sounded.
Long after the Lions’ 20-6 win, fans dressed in powder blue and white could be seen celebrating in the stands of the Buccaneers’ stadium.
I’ve seen a lot of opposing fan bases make noise for their team after a win — but the Lions might’ve topped them all today.

Or as @JaredGoff16 said to me as he left the field, “Are you seeing this? Best fans in the f***ing league!”

According to ESPN’s Jeff Darlington, their presence was appreciated by quarterback Jared Goff, who called them the "best fans in the f---ing league” before exiting the field after Detroit’s fourth consecutive win.
At 5-1, the Lions are off to their best start to a season since 2011, and the passion from the fan base has been on display all year long.
Earlier this year, Lions fans took over Lambeau Field after the team took down the Packers on Monday Night Football. The fan base replicated those efforts on Sunday after another road win, this time a bit farther from home.
