Lions best and worst PFF grades from Week 11 win over the Bears

The Pro Football Focus grades for the Detroit Lions in their 31-26 victory over the Chicago Bears were reflective of a team that didn’t perform at its best but still prevailed.

PFF graded out just three Lions players with an overall score above 80, the fewest of any Detroit game this year aside from the 38-6 loss in Baltimore. For team unit grades, the Lions turned in their lowest passing game grade (48.0) and their worst-graded tackling effort since the Week 2 loss to the Seahawks.

However, the special teams (70.3) and pass rush (74.4) grades were the second-best of the season, and the run offense grade of 83.5 is a new season high.

Here are the highest-rated and lowest-rated players from the Lions comeback win.

Highest offense

RB David Montgomery – 89.5

WR Amon-Ra St. Brown – 81.5

C Frank Ragnow – 77.3

RT Penei Sewell – 77.1

RG Graham Glasgow – 72.3

Lowest offense

Rough day for the rookie Sorsdal, who was playing a brand new position on the left side when he’s exclusively played on the right side in Detroit. A penalty also lowered his grade, the only one called on the Lions offense. Context is important…

LG Colby Sorsdal – 45.4

QB Jared Goff – 47.6

WR Kalif Raymond – 52.4

TE Brock Wright – 53.7

WR Josh Reynolds – 56.5

Best defense

The top two grades here certainly pass the sniff test.

LB Alex Anzalone – 90.3

DE Aidan Hutchinson – 76.9

EDGE Julian Okwara – 76.5

EDGE Romeo Okwara – 73.9

DT Alim McNeill – 71.3

Safety Brian Branch earned the highest individual tackle and run defense grades on the team but managed just a 68.6 overall due to two enforced penalties.

Worst defense

LB Jack Campbell – 44.0

EDGE Charles Harris – 45.4

CB Jerry Jacobs – 52.0

DE Josh Paschal – 55.6

DT Benito Jones – 56.9

Special mention here to safety Will Harris, who scored a 41.5 on his one defensive snap.
