Lions and Giants will hold joint practices this summer

The Detroit Lions and New York Giants will renew their preseason rivalry in 2023. The two teams will also hold joint practice sessions in the leadup to the exhibition game, according to Lions head coach Dan Campbell.

At the NFL owners’ meetings in Arizona this week, Campbell revealed that the two teams have already agreed to joint practices. The preseason schedule isn’t yet set, so it’s unclear if the two teams will practice in Detroit or New York.

This will be the second time the Lions and Giants have practiced against one another, following the first meetings in 2018. The Lions had three days of joint sessions in Indianapolis with the Colts in 2022.
