Euro champ Jill Scott is going for The Treble.
The former England captain is returning to lead her country in another match, and wants to notch up another title after being crowned Queen of the Jungle and captaining the Lionesses to victory last year.
The Three Lions have not won Soccer Aid since 2018, so have recruited Jill in a bid to go for the title at the June match.
Jill said: “The Euros, The Jungle and now Soccer Aid for UNICEF – it’s the holy trinity.
“I’ve won two of them, so just need Soccer Aid now to complete ‘The Treble’. I think of all three, this might be the one I’m most nervous about, though – just look at the names involved.”
Jill will be teaming up with former Arsenal player Jack Wilshere, who says: “I am really looking forward to lacing up my boots again – and playing with some of my old friends.
“I can’t tell you how good these legends are and I’m told a few of the celebrities are quite handy too.”
Paddy McGuinness is returning to the field, but this time as a celebrity goalkeeper alongside former pro David James.
Recently retired player Jermain Defoe will also be playing alongisde musicians including Joel Corry and Tom Grennan.
Olympic gold medallist Sir Mo Farah will also take part for England, along with comic Alex Brooker and footballers Gary Neville and Paul Scholes. Line of Duty’s Vicky McClure co-manages alongside Chelsea manager Emma Hayes.
The Soccer Aid World XI FC will feature captain Usain Bolt and former footballer Robbie Keane as coach.
