Lionel Richie has cancelled his planned show in Nottingham due to concerns about Covid and the Omicron variant.
He had been due to perform his 'Hello Tour' at the Victoria Embankment on June 12 this year, with tickets starting at £67.50 and VIP tickets going for more than £150.
The show was originally planned for 2020 but was postponed due to coronavirus. However, it has now been confirmed it will not go ahead.
Mr Richie says his fans' health is "the most important thing" and this influenced his decision.
Refunds will be available to ticket holders - the event in Nottingham was being put on by DHP Family.
The star tweeted: "As Covid and its variants continue to impact the world, I have decided to hold off on my European tour this summer.
"The most important thing to me is the health of my fans, band and crew.
"I hope you all understand and I hope to see you very soon when we can all gather safely.
"Please visit individual festival/event websites for further information and details on how to collect refunds."
Ticketmaster confirmed the show has been cancelled - with tickets no longer available to purchase.
In an email shared with Nottinghamshire Live, one ticket holder was told face value refunds are due to be automatically refunded in the next three to five working days.
