Linlithgow Rose were given a home tie against fellow sixth-tier outfit Sauchie as they aim to book a Scottish Cup fourth round spot for just the second time in the club’s history.
Having already gotten the better of a pair of Lowland League sides in Berwick Rangers and Spartans in this season’s competition, Gordon Herd’s side will be favourites to progress in their all-East of Scotland Premier Division third round clash.
While it’s certainly a winnable tie for the Rose, they missed out on some potential money-spinning draws with Scottish Championship teams such as Dundee and Partick Thistle having entered the competition.
Linlithgow recorded a 4-2 away win over the Beechwood Park side when the two teams met in the league back in August but the form book will very much be out the window when they meet again next month at Prestonfield.
The tie is currently scheduled to take place on the weekend of Saturday, November 26.
