Linfield expect to be unseeded for next month's Champions League draw

Irish League champions Linfield expect to be unseeded for next month’s draw for the UEFA Champions League.

Confirmation of Maribor winning the Slovenian league on Sunday means David Healy's Blues are likely to face a seeded club in the first qualifying round of the competition.

Seeded clubs include League of Ireland champions Shamrock Rovers, Swedish giants Malmo, Ferencvaros of Hungary, and Qarabag of Azerbaijan.

David Healy's men lost on away goals to Qarabag in the Europa League in 2019 after clinching a memorable 3-2 win at Windsor Park.

The draw is scheduled for June 14 with the two-legged ties on July 5-6 and July 12-13.
