Linfield have announced the return of striker Eetu Vertainen. The St Johnstone forward has rejoined the Blues on a season-long loan.
Vertainen spent the second half of last season on loan with David Healy's side. The 23-year-old scored four goals in six Irish Premiership appearances as the Blues went on to win the title.
Prior to joining St Johnstone at the start last season, Vertainen played for clubs including Klubi 04, Ilves and HJK in his native Finland. He is also a Finnish Under 21 international.

Now the Finn is back for another season in the Irish Premiership, with his arrival following news that Robbie McDaid will officially join the club on Friday. McDaid will rubber stamp his move when his current Glentoran contract ends.
Healy has also signed former Rangers striker Chris McKee and has emerging youngster Ethan Devine on the books. The new arrivals will add plenty of firepower and compensate for Christy Manzinga's departure at the end of last season.
Manzinga finished the 2021/22 campaign with 20 goals.
