Linesman involved in Andy Robertson clash during Liverpool vs Arsenal finally breaks his silence

Linesman Constantine Hatzidakis has spoken publicly for the first time since his controversial clash with Andy Robertson during Liverpool's 2-2 draw against Arsenal on Sunday.

Hatzidakis appeared to elbow the Reds defender at half-time of the match at Anfield and the Scottish international was even booked for his complaints to referee Paul Tierney. Since then, the Professional Game Match Official Limited (PGMOL), who oversee the Premier League's officials, have confirmed that the official will not return to action until the conclusion of the FA's investigation.

They delivered a statement that read: “PGMOL will not be appointing Constantine Hatzidakis to fixtures in any of the competitions it serves whilst The FA investigates the incident involving the assistant referee and Liverpool defender Andrew Robertson at Anfield.”

Now, Hatzidakis has broken his silence on the incident. Speaking outside of his south London home on Tuesday, via the Express, he said: "Whatever happens, happens.

"There is nothing more I can say at the moment. I can't talk about what happened." Sky Sports pundit and former Manchester United Roy Keane hilariously labelled Robertson as 'a baby' for his reaction to the incident. Keane said: "What’s he going over to him for and what’s he complaining for?

"I said at half-time, Robertson, what a big baby. What a big baby. Just get on with the game."
