Lindsay Lohan working on brand new UK reality dating show called Lovestruck High

Lindsay Lohan has been busy working on a brand new reality dating series called Lovestruck High.

The Prime Video series will have 15 UK singles transported to an American High School setting for a second chance at love.

It will be narrated by none other than Mean Girls icon Lindsay.

Both Lindsay and Prime took to Instagram to share a snap of the actress recording the narration for the upcoming series.

"Your next summer fling coming in hot. We couldn’t be more excited that Lindsay Lohan is the voiceover for our brand new reality dating show @lovestruckhigh," the caption read.

"Launching May 18th, we’re taking 15 UK singles back to school for a second chance at finding love."

In the snap, Lindsay looked fresh-faced as she wore headphones and smiled for the camera.

Fans were over the moon at the news and took to the comment section to share their excitement.

"Yesss I love her voice," a happy user commented while one said: "OMG I CAN'T WAITTT!!! YEAH."

One proud fan posted: "Booked and busy.. love that for her."

"Lindsay’s voice was made for doing voice overs, another win for Lindsay Lohan," another fan commented.

Another added: "So happy for Lindsay."

Lovestruck High is described as 'an eclectic and diverse class of students that will be fulfilling their teenage fantasies by entering the nostalgic picture-perfect world of an American High School.'

The contestants will be using their time in the new setting to find 'the one'.

Their goal is to find the perfect someone to take to 'Prom' and they will be given the opportunity of being crowned Prom King and Queen and even win $100,000 (£76,200).

If anyone is an expert on cliché American Highschool tropes and relationships, it's 00s queen Lindsay.

The star captured hearts with her roles in Mean Girls, Freaky Friday, Just My Luck and Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen.

She also stars in Falling For Christmas, a romantic comedy film that has not yet been released.

The star also got engaged in November last year. She shared with fans that she said yes to beau Bader Shammas.

Showing off the ring on Instagram, she wrote: "My love. My life. My family. My future. @bader.shammas #love"

Lovestruck High will launch on 18th May on Prime Video.
