Lindsay Lohan has sent fans wild on social media, thanks to liking multiple comments about a 'baby bump' and pregnancy.
As Britney Spears is set to become a mother for the third time, fans are speculating if fellow 00s icon Lindsay could possibly be with child too - with the actress fueling the rumours thanks to her social media activity.
The Mean Girls actress, 35, recently celebrated her November 2021 engagement to beau Bader Shammas with a party - sharing a snap of herself and her husband-to-be posing alongside a cake on Instagram last week.
As the star - who is currently embarking on a movie comeback - beamed next to her partner, fans were quick to ask whether the happy couple had more to celebrate than just their engagement.
"Omg a baby bump," one follower commented underneath the snap, with Lindsay 'liking' the comment - sending her fans wild.
"she liked my comment so I guess it’s official," the original poster added to the thread, with another adding: "I think that’s what she us really showing…. She was engaged since november 2021."
Another comment to get a 'like' from Lindsay on Instagram read: "Baby next? [three heart-eyes emojis]".
Lindsay has 'liked' a number of comments from fans underneath the post in question, not all related to pregnancy, but many messages from fans are left 'unliked'.
The Mirror approached representatives for Lindsay for comment who, since the original report, have confirmed that the actress "is not" currently pregnant.
While Lindsay is may not be expanding her family in the immediate future, that hasn't stopped fans speculating about what a pregnancy could mean for her long-awaited comeback.
"I’m going to lose my mind if the rumors are true that Lindsay Lohan is pregnant (just when she’s on the cusp of a professional comeback)," one fan took to Twitter to share on Monday as speculation began to grow - prior to her team's confirmation she is not expecting.
Last year, it was announced the former child star would be making her movie comeback in a Netflix Christmas special.
The 35-year-old star will play the lead role of a 'spoiled hotel heiress' in festive rom-com Falling For Christmas, due to be available to stream later this year.
Alongside her acting comeback, Lindsay is booked and busy with voiceover work and podcast hosting duties.
Last week, it was confirmed the multi-talented star will be part of brand new reality dating series called Lovestruck High.
The Prime Video series will have 15 UK singles transported to an American High School setting for a second chance at love.
Announcing the exciting project on Instagram, both Prime and Lindsay wrote: "Your next summer fling coming in hot. We couldn’t be more excited that Lindsay Lohan is the voiceover for our brand new reality dating show @lovestruckhigh.
"Launching May 18th, we’re taking 15 UK singles back to school for a second chance at finding love."
The show's contestants will be using their time in the new setting to find 'the one'.
Their goal is to find the perfect someone to take to 'Prom' and they will be given the opportunity of being crowned Prom King and Queen and even win $100,000 (£76,200).
