Linda Robson gushed that she "really liked" Boris Johnson and insisted that he was a "decent man" - prompting outrage from Loose Women viewers.
Her comments came hot on the heels of Sue Gray's Partygate findings, which revealed a number of failings behind the doors of No. 10.
In the dossier, she slammed the "unacceptable" treatment of cleaners and custodians who uncovered law-breaking parties and how they were left feeling "unable to raise properly" their concerns.
Ms Gray says security staff saw evidence of the infamous Christmas party on December 18, 2020 where dozens gathered for a raucous knees-up in No10.
While Johnson claimed to "take responsibility" for the failings, he went on to say he was "disappointed" by brazen antics of his staff.
Johnson claimed he was "humbled and had learned a lesson" from the report - but then tried to suggest he had been vindicated and it was time to "move on" from the Partygate saga that has dogged his premiership.
Reacting to the news on the ITV show today, panellist Nadia Sawalha said that she felt "sick to [her] stomach".
"If one more politician tells me how to feel and to move on," Nadia fumed. "Because I'm not ready to move on!"
However, Linda felt very differently as she declared: "I do believe that not all of it is not all of his fault."
Referring to the Covid pandemic, Linda insisted that "no one could have expected this to happen", adding: "I just really like him, I think he's a decent man."
Nadia hit back, insisting that Johnson's "bumbling" was just an "act".
"I did fall for all this, I think he's very smart," she admitted. "I did fall for this 'bumbling, doesn't mean any harm'... I've watched over the years and it's all an act!"
Viewers were not impressed with Linda's remarks and took to Twitter to comment.
One tweeted: "Linda thinking Boris Johnson "is a decent man" . At least Nadia isn't a fan of him. #LooseWomen."
While another commented: "Linda likes Boris Johnson and wants to forget everything because she sees him riding his bike around Islington. Is she for real?! #LooseWomen."
A third wrote: "I didn’t do anything I shouldn’t have done, Linda. I stuck rigidly to the rules."
"I had to shield for months - I didn’t see a single friend or family member. I didn’t break ANY rules @LindaRobson58 and how you can really like a man who is a compulsive liar is beyond me. I thought Linda had morals #LooseWomen," another fumed.
One raged: "Linda Robson sticking up for Boris Johnson because she used to see him riding his bike around North Islington and he always stopped for a chat.. #LooseWomen."
