Linda Nolan warns 'I don't know how long I have left' after cancer update on Good Morning Britain

Linda Nolan gave an update on her battle with cancer on Good Morning Britain, saying "I don't know how long I have left".

Sisters and television personalities Linda and Anne Nolan joined Good Morning Britain this morning to talk about their new book, Stronger Together: How We’re Living While Fighting. They joined hosts Kate Garraway and Richard Bacon.

The Loose Women panelists announced their book drops today in paperback form after already being available as a hardback from last week. It follows their journey as they navigate battling cancer together and going through chemotherapy as sisters.

GMB host Kate asked the former singers if the process has brought them together more than before. Linda said: "I think because we went through chemo together during the pandemic when no one could have you with them, it definitely brought us together."

She added that following her diagnosis, she has found a new lease on life and is only focusing on things that matter. She said: "It gave me a sense of freedom really. I don't want to do that, I want to do this. It's given me a new perspective and to appreciate life. I don't know how long I've got. Whatever time I've got left I just want to make memories and have a great time instead of moping around."

Anne confirmed her cancer had "basically" gone after she had her last mammogram last month but said: "You never know what the future holds." She added she doesn't feel guilty about getting the all-clear whilst Linda still battles because she's empathetic toward her.

She said: "I don't feel guilty because Linda's hasn't gone and mine has but I have a sympathy there for her so I can relate to what she's feeling. I'm thrilled that I'm not in that position. People say you're brave but its not brave, you do what the doctors tell you."

They both said their new book isn't all "doom and gloom" and aims to help those going through the process with any questions they may have. Their sister Bernie Nolan died of breast cancer in 2013.
