A woman in her 80s has died after a crash on a busy stretch of the A52 near Nottinghamshire. The woman had suffered serious injuries following the two-car collision between Sedgebrook and Barrowby, in Lincolnshire, last Thursday (August 18). It was first reported just after 3pm that afternoon.
A stretch of the A52 was closed between the A1 at Grantham and A46 at the Saxondale Roundabout. Police said a black Kia Picanto collided with a grey BMW. The road was reopened at 9.30pm on the same day.
However, on Monday (August 22) Lincolnshire Police confirmed the woman had died. A force spokesman said: "We have been informed by the hospital that the 80-year-old woman who was injured in this collision has now sadly died."
