David Tennant shocks Limitless Win player with 'bizarre' cameo on Ant and Dec show

A Limitless Win contestant got the surprise of their life on Saturday night, when David Tennant shocked them with an unexpected and rather bizarre cameo on Ant and Dec's gameshow.

Having returned to ITV on Christmas Day for a celebrity special and then a full new series in January, this weekend saw the final episode of Limitless Win's current run, with 'the biggest cash prize' on television still up for grabs. And it proved to be a very memorable night for player Troy, who took on the money ladder alongside mum Tracey-Jane.

Within moments of walking into the studio, Ant and Dec raised the subject of the mother and son pair being massive fans of Doctor Who, before pressing Troy on who his favourite Doctor was. After seeming far from keen at having to pick, Troy was eventually outed as a big fan of David by his mum, which then paved the way for the Scottish actor to appear on a huge screen.

And, rather than simply give Troy a simple hello or good luck message, David did something rather odd, which tied into what Tracey had just revealed. She said that when 23-year-old Troy was a lot younger, she bought him a Doctor Who birthday cake and he refused to eat David Tennant's picture on top.

Ant then remarked: "It's interesting that you're a fan of David Tennant, Troy, as we've heard he's actually a big fan of yours, as David then flashed up on screen, alongside a cake with Troy's face on it, before quipping: "Look it's Troy's little face. Obviously I could never tuck into Troy," before then burying his face in the cake and taking a big chunk out of Troy's face.

Things then got a bit weirder, when, speaking through a mouthful of cake, David added: "Oh Troy, you're delicious!" as Troy stood there totally gobsmacked.

Limitless Win viewers were quick to react to the moment, with one taking to Twitter to write: "Between giant CGI potato waffles descending from the ceiling, and David Tennant eating the face of a contestant baked onto a cake, I'm still not entirely sure if Limitless Win is a quiz show or some kind of Dadaist art piece," as another simply typed: "DAVID TENNANT ON LIMITLESS WIN ?#!#?£?"??"
