Lily Allen and David Harbour‘s (aka mum and dad) fairytale romance has reportedly taken a massive nosedive, and the details are brutal.
Just before Christmas 2024, news broke that the couple had separated amid allegations of infidelity, with Lily reportedly discovering David’s secret dating profile on Raya — the same app where they first met.
According to reports from The Sun, Lily became suspicious of David’s late-night activities and decided to do a little sleuthing of her own. She rejoined Raya, setting her preferences to “women” in an attempt to catch him in the act.
A source revealed, “Lily was looking for women who were on Raya and cross-referencing them with women David follows on Instagram to try to figure out who he was seeing.” A girl after my own cyber-stalking heart.
What she uncovered was simply wild — an active profile belonging to David, complete with the bio “closet nerd that plays tough guys on your TV”.
The profile picture? A dark-haired cartoon character smoking a cigarette. The profile’s featured song is apparently Led Zeppelin’s “Houses Of The Holy” and I can’t tell if this is a dating profile or a cry for help. The source added, “Lily has never even looked at anyone since she met David. She is devastated.”
Lily and David first crossed paths on Raya in 2019 and tied the knot in Las Vegas in 2020 in a ceremony officiated by an Elvis impersonator — it was nothing short of iconic.
David once described their relationship as transformative in a 2021 PEOPLE magazine interview: “I’m so grateful that I’m not alone anymore, and that I have someone that I can tell everything to.”
Fast forward to 2024, and it seems that gratitude has turned into something much less romantic.
According to Daily Mail, internet sleuths also spotted Lily on Raya back in December, presumably not for investigative purposes, with a bio that reads, “Looking for someone to start couples therapy with”. However, the image has not been confirmed and the same article claimed that Lily’s friend told the publication that the singer is not actively searching for dates and “takes marriage very seriously”.
As both parties navigate this messy split, Lily is reportedly focusing on her music career while David continues filming Stranger Things.
Neither has publicly commented on their separation yet. Now if you’ll excuse me, I’ll be spiralling in a corner now that love officially does not exist.
