LSU freshman Flau’jae Johnson is ending this basketball season with a national championship and the feature of her dreams. The Tigers guard and aspiring musical artist is apparently set to collaborate with Louisiana’s own Lil Wayne sometime in the future, per the rapper himself.
“Actually, me and Flau’jae, we’ve spoken, but we about to connect musically soon,” he said during LSU’s Final Four matchup against Virginia Tech on Friday. “That’s shoutout to Miss Kim [Mulkey] too. Because Kim told me, ‘you must do something with my girl Flau’jae.’ I was like ‘say less.’”
Johnson, who was also named SEC Freshman of the Year last month, was clearly ecstatic and posted the clip on Twitter on Tuesday.
“Imagine Winning A National Championship Your FRESHMAN Year! Then Getting A Lil Wayne Feature Right After ??! What is life,” she said in the tweet.

The rapper, who is from New Orleans, showed his support to the Miami women’s basketball team earlier in the tournament when he FaceTimed the team’s Cavinder sisters—Haley and Hanna—after their 70-65 upset victory over No. 4 seed Villanova in the Sweet 16. He also gave a shout out to LSU’s Angel Reese after the Tigers’ win over No. 2 seed Utah in the same round, saying, “Angel fkn Reese!!!!!! Home team.”
