Patients at an 'outstanding' rated GP practice in Beeston say it has earned its reputation thanks to a 'fab' service and always offering swift appointments. The Manor Surgery, in Middle Street, is rated as one of the best surgeries in Nottinghamshire by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
The health watchdog rated it as 'outstanding' in every key area except for 'safe', which is 'good'. All its specific services are also rated 'outstanding', according to its latest report.
Phillip Brooksbank, who has been a patient at the surgery since moving to the town 30 years ago, described it as an "eleven out of ten" service. "It's fab, eleven out of ten, brilliant. They look after you," the 66-year-old warehouse operative said.

Despite the last CQC inspection being carried out more than four years ago, Mr Brooksbank said the GP practice had "only got better", adding: "A lot of things have changed in two years but they are brilliant."
Dr David Charles, who has been working at the practice for around 27 years, said the Manor Surgery had earnt its good reputation through "meeting the criteria" and having a "great team". "I'd be disappointed if we were not providing a good service," he said.
Dr Charles also said it was "frustrating" to see stories of people not being able to see a GP. "We're trying to see them on the same day, either speaking to them or seeing them face-to-face."
Chryse Tinsley, a 68-year-old patient at the Manor Surgery, said: "I still work some days but I'm able to get 8am appointments. Across the board they're really good, you can't fault it. They're very good and organised, you don't have to wait weeks for an appointment."
Adella Davis, 79, added: "I've come here for many, many years and I've always been happy. Everyone's really nice and caring, they help us well." The Manor Surgery is currently subject to plans that would see it relocate to a new location in Chilwell Road.
