As the weather is getting warmer, people by Beeston Marina say the sun is a bonus to the beautiful and relaxing spot. The marina has a lot of visitors such as narrowboat owners who are living 'a great life' on the River Trent, fishermen, people parked up living out of a van - as well as dog walkers and walkers who say 'it's so lovely'.
Located by the River Trent, you can find Beeston Lock, and 'nice places to grab a drink', like the Riverside Bar and Beeston Marina Boathouse Cafe. Brothers, Terry, 74, and Micheal, 72, both were out by the river fishing, they had only caught some ‘small ones’ so far and told Nottinghamshire Live how relaxing it is by the Beeston Lock and the marina.
Michael, from Nottingham said: “I come here once a week - people come round and talk to you, see if you’ve caught anything. It’s just relaxing, away from everything and you haven’t got to think about what’s going on in the world.
