For St Helens, there are few larger claims to fame than their beloved rugby league side.
St Helens RLFC, or Saints, is the most successful side in rugby league history, with 17 Super League titles, and the club attracts fans from all corners of the world to come to the industrial town on the edge of Merseyside. Formed in 1873, the Saints played their home games at Knowsley Road, outside the town centre, from 1890 until its demolition in 2010.
The closure of Knowsley Road paved the way for a new stadium, Langtree Park, to be built in the heart of the town centre. But for the businesses and neighbours of the old stadium, what has life after Saints departure been like?

Crispy Cod chip shop sits just metres from where the entrances to Knowsley Road used to stand, and naturally, rugby fans would flock to the chippy for their pre-match and post-match meals. However, Tracey Holt and Giorgio Marsidis, who have both worked at the shop for around 20 years, claim business has not suffered since the Saints relocated.
Tracey told the ECHO: "It hasn't changed for us, we're still always busy and have regular customers. You should see what the shop is like on a Friday night now, it's rammed.
"We do miss the ground being right behind us, but we definitely haven't suffered since it moved into town."
Giorgio echoed these sentiments, he added: "On matchdays we would be full to the door, it would be crazy. We are still very busy and have loyal customers but we do miss the rugby being so close. There was never any trouble from home or away fans, it was always friendly."
Not far from the Crispy Cod, Eddie Tinsley has lived at his home, which once faced the iconic stadium, for 16 years. He told the ECHO: "We used to be able to see the big screen by the side of the pitch from our living room, it was great."
He said there would be some downsides citing litter in the area on matchday, but added: "It will always be the home of the Saints though."
Another neighbour who asked not to be named, said: "The new stadium is great, but I miss Knowsley Road, there was so much history on that pitch, and it was great for the area. Every weekend, it would feel like the world would come to this road to watch the rugby- it was great for local businesses too."
In 2010, just before the stadium was demolished, the ECHO reported that "the ground had became increasingly costly to maintain and in terms of facilities no longer meets the standards required of the modern era. But the club is determined to celebrate their glorious history at the stadium."
