Liel Abada quizzed on Celtic exit for EPL as he states 'I believe in myself' amid UCL involvement

Liel Abada says he has no interest in thinking about moves to the English Premier League as he looks to maintain top form for Celtic and Israel.

The 20-year-old winger has been away in his country on international duty this week but has spoken of his desire to keep improving as he works with Hoops boss Ange Postecoglou. Abada netted 15 goals and provided another 11 assists during his debut season at Parkhead and won the PFA Young Player of the Year award.

He is now playing Champions League football but has been quizzed on whether or not he could make the big jump from Celtic to Premier League waters. That isn't something on his mind though with Abada's feet planted firmly on the ground amid facing the likes of Real Madrid.

He told Israeli outlet Mako: "Right now I'm concentrating on the national team, not on the Premier League. We'll do our best (for the national side). There's still a lot of work.

"The most important thing is to be humble. There are players and coaches who have been through a lot in their careers.

"I am only trying to play a part in victory. There was a crazy atmosphere and I played against great players (versus Real Madrid).

"I believe in myself very much, this is the first time I've played in the Champions League and I'm learning the high tempo. I believe I'm capable of this."
