Lidl to open Bristol Avonmeads store this weekend with exclusive offers on the opening day

Lidl has confirmed the opening date for its new supermarket on Avonmeads Retail Park in Bristol.

The 16th Lidl to launch in the city, the new store will open on Saturday, February 26. Part of the company’s ongoing £1.3bn expansion and regeneration plans across Great Britain, the store will create around 30 new jobs for the local community. The new supermarket will feature a sales area of 1,144m² and will offer facilities, such as an in-store bakery, a customer toilet, bicycle storage, and ample parking for customer vehicles including new disabled and parent and child spaces close to the store entrance.

On opening day, customers will be able to find exclusive deals and offers on selected products including a Plum Deimos Climbing Dome (£39.99), a Philips Shaver and Groomer (£24.99) and a Water-Repellent Golf Stand (£24.99). Lidl GB’s Regional Head of Property, Glen Stidever, said: “It is fantastic that we are able to open our doors and welcome everyone into our 16th store in Bristol.

“We would like to take this opportunity to thank all those who have played a part in delivering this new store. “We are delighted to be able to invest further into the local economy, creating jobs and providing even more Bristol residents with our multi-award winning products.”

The store opening times of the new Lidl at Avonmeads Retail Park will be between 8am-10pm Monday to Saturday, and 10am-4pm on Sunday. Since establishing itself in Great Britain in 1994, Lidl GB has experienced continuous growth and now has over 26,000 employees, over 900 stores and 13 distribution centres in England, Scotland and Wales.
