Lidl shoppers have rushed to praise a little-known product sold by the bargain giant.
The retailer sells £1.50 crates full of fruit and vegetables that are "still good to use, but would have otherwise been thrown away".
It is part of Lidl's commitment to sustainability and reducing food waste.

The boxes cost £1.50 and weigh around 5kg, and can ordinarily be located near the checkout section of the store — though availability will vary day-to-day.
For households on a low income amid the worsening cost of living crisis, the crates are an opportunity to stock up on a high number of fruit and vegetables for a bargain price.
One satisfied customer who picked up a box took to Facebook to share their thoughts.
Writing in the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK group, they said: "£1.50 box from Lidl today, it filled my entire counter, there’s so much I’m going to list some on Olio."
Since being shared, the post has garnered almost 700 likes — with over 130 users leaving comments.
One said: "Yes! We picked 2 up last Friday. They are only usually there in the morning but we had amazing bananas, strawberries, grapes, oranges, green beans, potatoes, peppers, broccoli etc! Fabulous they were! Saved us so much as a family as we eat a lot of fruit and veg."
A second shared: "These are great. I got one last week for the first time and was amazed at how much was in there. Have to get there as soon as they open though otherwise they all go."
"Thats a right bargain," posted a third.
A fourth posted: "Brilliant. I do so approve of these, the reduction in food waste alone."
"This looks fab," commented a fifth.
A sixth stated: "In a country like the UK no one should go hungry. This will go for days I guess. Well done."
However others were frustrated that the quality of fruit and veg in the boxes at their local Lidl wasn't as high.
"The only £1.50 boxes I’ve seen in my store sadly have been full of rotting stuff," one revealed.
A second said: "My Lidl's boxes are always horrible products. They never look this fresh."
