Lidl customers are being issued an urgent warning to return a popular fish product if they have bought one of the affected food items.
According to Food Standards Agency (FSA), people should not eat it and instead return it to the shop for a full refund.
In the recent warning they say that Lidl GB are "recalling Eridanous Greek Style Smoked Mackerel Fillet with Olives and Oregano with Soy Oil because Listeria monocytogenes has been found in the product."

The risk statement reads: "The presence of Listeria monocytogenes in the products listed above.
"Symptoms caused by this organism can be similar to flu and include high temperature, muscle ache or pain, chills, feeling or being sick and diarrhoea. However, in rare cases, the infection can be more severe, causing serious complications, such as meningitis.
"Some people are more vulnerable to listeria infections, including those over 65 years of age, pregnant women and their unborn babies, babies less than one month old and people with weakened immune systems."

According to FSA, the following product is being recalled:
Eridanous Greek Style Smoked Mackerel Fillet with Olives and Oregano with Soy Oil

Best Before: January 2, 2023
What should you do if you've bought the product?
